This is the ideal get-away for your kids!!
You’ll want to stay too!! Approximately 45 minutes from
Florence, Grande Prato is nestled behind cypress trees
and an olive grove, on a slight hillside with full view of
the rolling Tuscan hills. Once that gate has closed behind
you it seems the world outside has faded away.
Once a farmhouse, hayloft and servants quarters, Grande
Prato is now a beautifully restored home from the 1800s
which has been tastefully made into 6 rooms with private baths
for our campers!! |

The servant's quarters have been reconstructed into two and
three-bedroom suites, in a rustic, cottage-style décor.
The hayloft has become the kitchen, dining hall and studio/living
area.
There is a sports area complete with basketball hoops, soccer
and tennis nets. Then there is the crème de la crème:
the pool! It is strategically tucked behind the cypress trees
to block any unexpected wind, but none of that warm Tuscan
sun! |
