Language

We immerse our children in a language rich environment.
Both English and Italian are taught in a real world context and everyday phrases are reinforced in all areas of the program.
Our fully inclusive program allows children from many diverse backgrounds to acquire not only language but also gain appreciation of other cultures.
Through the repetition of our interactive stories, songs and role plays children are encouraged to apply their language knowledge in becoming independent learners.

Art

Picasso once said, “It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but  a lifetime to paint like a child” Starting at a very young age, creativity and self expression is encouraged in a stimulating and comfortable environment. We provide our little creators with artist quality paper and materials and allow them time to experiment and develop their own artistic style.
‘Scribbles’ mean something to those who made them. We believe no matter how young our artists are they can express their feelings and imagination in a valid form.

Music

Music is fundamental in the development of children and therefore an integral part of our program. Within a day, our children participate in many musical experiences which help to develop their fine and gross motor skills, coordination and sense of rhythm, and support in the acquisition of languages.

We stimulate our children by playing diverse ranges of music, allowing time for experimentation of simple instruments and nurture their natural instinct to move to sounds.

Music has the power to connect people and convey so many emotions therefore through our shared musical experiences we are able to make an impact on their journey towards independence.

Movement

Children today live in much confinement. Our school environment allows children to run around, fall over, climb, touch, kick a ball and discover what limitations their bodies have. Our outdoor space is a treasure trove of wonders and is highly stimulating with a play gym, bikes, sandpit, and balls. The design of our child friendly plants allow children to intermingle within the garden and let their imaginations run wild in what it may contain. Our indoor space, is light and airy and they live climbing up and down on our child size obstacle course.

Play

Play for children is an organic and a very natural state of being. All children have a innate need for imaginative play based on their real world environment. In all areas of the school, we provide our children with diverse play areas. Our play areas not only cater for this need but also help to develop the whole child, allowing  them to freely experiment with all senses and fully experience their surroundings. We encourage cooperation with others through negotiation and reinforce positive play behavior. We nurture and treasure the imaginary world our children inhabit and understand in their world dreaming and reality are not so far apart.
